Calorifier with twin coils - only need one....

Just wondering if anyone can confirm..
Just received new calorifier and unbeknown to me its come with two heating coils.
I only need one - for the engine coolant to run through.
What is best practice for the "spare" coil? Just leave it uncapped I assume so pressure can't build up?

My 2nd coil been left unused & uncapped since I installed it in 1988. No issues.

Did find a use for it earlier this year, pushed a temperature sensor in one end for my boat monitoring system.

Don't T them together, connect them in series. Inlet on coil 1 from engine, short hose to link the outlet of coil 1 to the inlet of the coil 2, outlet of coil 2 back to engine.

I would pipe one into the other in series, probably easier, a short flexible hose should do this
