..ive a problem with the hot water system on our broom 39kl 2006 model, the water seems to cool quite quickly over an hour or two no matter how long the engine has been running, this is also the same when the immersion is in use.
Just wondering if there are any other broom owners with similiar problems or anyone with some advice please.

is the calorifier below or above the engine ?

Is there a one way valve in the system ?

If the tank is lower than the engine and there's free run of water to the engine, it could be that you are heating the engine block by thermosyphon.

Can you check by turning off any valves between the tank and the block when the water is really hot and the motor is not being used ?

Like Sarabande says, thermosyphon takes all the heat back into the engine. Solution is a non-return valve or more simply change the top engine to calorifier feed hose for a longer length and put a loop in it.
