I'm replacing the cold & hot pipework on my Sun Odyssey 29.2. At the calorifier end I came across a T fitting on (what I assume) is the tank drain off pipe. The pipe runs away down into the bilge, which is normal I understand. The clear pressure relief pipe was fitted by the p.o. Am I right in assuming that the cut pipe should be connected to where the (clear) pipe attaches to PRV ? If so then I really don't know why it was plumbed this way, as there are 2 pipes draining to the bilge !1000009073.jpg

Possibly the clear pipe fitted to allow the water from the PRV or draindown to be easily collected in a container (I use a 1L plastic milk bottle) rather than drain to the bilge which may be difficult to access and clean up.

You should be able to find a plumbing diagram in the manuals on the Jeanneau Owners Forum.
Thanks - I've taken a look but there are no diagrams there. BTW reading elsewhere it seems I was right - the cut off hose should loop back to the PRV take off point and the clear hose be removed.

Yes, I can only think the p.o thought this was a good mod for some reason ? Although its a common way to drain these I'm not fan of 'mystery' water sloshing around the bilge ! I will put this back to standard with the cut off pipe looped back onto the PRV line, then investigate where the existing drain line ends up and how to extend this to an easily accessible point.
