In the midst of fitting a new calorifier and the coil fittings are 15mm barbs which are no use to me as my engine hose work is 19mm I’ve been trying to find angles reducers and the ones I got off eBay seem a bit flimsy and I’m not keen as this is on a raw water cooled engine and any leaks could be dangerous.
Anyone found a neat solution, it’s a surecal and they don’t do any other size fitting, hot pot don’t list either and asap and eBay don’t come up with anything, must be a common problem as 15mm isn’t really a standard engine hose, and I’ve seen some horrible instals of these with larger hoses clamped on.
I’m not even keen on the reducer way as it’s a few more hoses and clamps which is a mess and more to go wrong, looking at machining collars and soldering them on as a last resort

Try these links:

https://www.bes.co.uk/search/?q=elbow+15mm+compression+to+3%2F4"+female+BSP

https://www.bes.co.uk/screwed-tail-adaptor-brass-3-4-bsp-x-18mm-hose-bore-17547

Basically a 15mm compression fitting to 3/4" BSP female elbow, and a 3/4" male hose tail to 18mm hose pipe, 18mm will be close enough for 19mm hose, a good hose clamp will do. These are parallel threads so a Dowty washer may be the best way to seal them.

If you look on the BES website, you'll just about every plumbing fitting you can image, you may also be able to find equivalents in DZR (dezincification resistant brass) or SS.

All at very reasonable prices.

No connection, just my go to supplier when I want some difficult to get plumbing bits.

Did you ever find a nice solution? I think I have the same problem, 19mm hoses and fitting them neatly to a Surecal 22litre calorifier with 1/2" BSP compression fittings.

Hi there, I’ve just had the same problem with a new calorifier, I’ve ended up changing the calorifier fittings with the help of my brother. The new fittings enable you to use push fit fittings. Hope this helps.

You can screw a 15mm fitting into a 19mmID hose
A 15mm nipple gives a longer thread
The hot circuit, I'm guessing, isn't pressurised

I use that same connection on the raw water side

You'll never unscrew it again, you'll have to cut it off
