Does anyone know if you can get calor gas in Spain? We are heading down to the north coast this summer and the pilot book appears to indicate that only camping gaz will be available.
Thanks in advance.

We spend quite a bit of time in Spain.
Camping Gaz in the prefered option here. Gas cost is a lot cheaper also.
Only problem you may find is that many are quite happy to exchange cylinders but to buy one in the first place is quite difficult. So it may be worth getting these before you leave the UK. Any way you dont what to be carring empty Calor ones around.
Any more advice you need please feel free to ask, after your trip please enter my site (link in the signature) to submit any useful tips that you didn't know before you left, so that those following benefit.

there is no calor in spain. on the mainland you won't be able to get calor bottles filled though it is )or at least was) possible in the canaries. spain and portugal have their own exchange bottle operation using 13/15kg butane & propane cylinders. if you are spending a long time in either country it might be worth getting one of their bottles and a suitable adaptor, it will certainly be cheaper than camping gaz. though the same gas company operates in spain and portugal, the portuguese company will not exchange the (identical) spanish bottles or vice versa!

No legal calor at all but 80% refills are available at dodgy back street garages by decanting butane from a big cyl. The caravan club use to advertise a calor>c. gaz adapter but I couldn't get hold of one anywhere.
