Yes Dave, finally managed to get a bit further up than York this time, but after about 6 miles of longingly looking out for a riverside pub (forgot my river guide), gave up and went all the way back to the Ship at Acaster.

Unfortunately MedDreamer wasn't there, so I had to buy my own pint, but we got the table right infront of the real log fire. Well needed after a cold three hours (with the hood down - enjoying the sun and being able to see due to all the condensation on the windows!) on the river.

Left both engine room and cabin heaters on full (not on timer) when we departed, ready for the freeze!

The Ship's a great pub, use it a lot when staying at the site next door, also the King George in York Centre Moor up at Lendle Bridge and scale the ladders. kids love it!!

Did wonder if you would be out today, this morning was perfect winter cruising weather.

On shopping duty with SWMBO (she cost more per hour to run than my petrol engine!!)

The Ship is great on a cold winters afternoon, wish I had been there

That's a nice photo. My wife and I live in the Whitsunday's in Australia. It's about 32 degrees and 85% humidity today and just looking at the people wearing coats in that photo makes me sweat. The grass is always greener and all we talk about is moving somewhere where it snows in winter. Enjoy the cold!

cheers Stephen

Blimey Bruce, we've enough with Sun-Coat-Clive spoiling our day with his reports from the Med, but I doubt it's even 22 degrees out there!
