I have occasionally said another reply was "nonsense". In my view this means it is so wrong that constructive criticism cannot be given. I guess "rubbish" means the same, but perhaps more emotive.
Having viewed the thread in question, I agree with you that the bracket does not need to be modified, and your comments were not directed to any one person.
Imho that was part of the problem, by not being specific just shouting rubbish insulted everyones previous efforts.
Do we join forums to discuss out hobby, on the way learn about factors that concern us, or did not know of, and gain help, or just to show off and claim how wonderful we are?
If you can not conduct yourself with at least mutual respect, why on earth post or even join? Most are here because we are not experts on matters boating and seek advice or clarification, just because we have little knowledge of a certain specific aspect, many have vast knowledge and ecperience of other skills of great value, that can be applied for everyones benifit.
All forums have their loud and quiet members, those less inclined to comment are put of giving their often invaluable input depriving everyone due to the risk of being pilloried.ny the more bullish.
Analgy i use is if among aquatances, which we loosly are, would such behaviour be more likely to earn me kudos, respect or to be ignored, or even a black eye?
