you mention in a previous post, obtaining yacht via a federal auction, do you have any web addresses for this type of auction pls

as every cant afford the boat i really want, so have to think laterally !

I've got it somewhere on my other computer which is my youngest daughter's bedroom.Will see if I can find it. I seem to remember I found it via the US Treasury Dept site. However, you can just email the US CoastGuard and they will send you the information you need. their home page is www.uscg.mil/USCG.shtm
I have found them very helpful and efficient at all times.

found it. It was the treasury department. Go to www.treas.gov/auctions/customs and click on the 'Boats' link. Good hunting

I wonder if we have a similar auction here. I don't just mean for boaty things but all sorts of contraband. I'm sure I've heard of such, although I think they crush most of the vehicles. Anyone have info?
