Own boat sold....
Anybody know anything about "Louley" a Fairline Sedan 36 lurking on brokerage in PH.
All scuttlebutt welcome but beware the broker reads this forum. :):):)
PMs awaited.
Also a " whisper it " they have Turbo 36 up there as well.

I have always found the broker to be utterly honest! Always had straight questions to straight answers, but a survey should get down and dirty with the boat! :-D

Own boat sold....

Fantastic!!! :)

I was very impressed with the honesty and integrity of the brokers at PH when we bought ours.
Doesn't help, I know!
Will those engines will be up to carrying the inevitable large quantities of, er, bottled beverages at the the desired rate of knots?

A Fairline with Perkins.
Is that an issue?
What about parts etc?
And your golfing trousers will clash terribly with that upholstery...

He wants one of the little soap dishes with an aging sterndrive really :D

No No No they sell really quickly and easily......OG likes quirky unusual boats that take years to sell ;)

It would be interesting to know some of things offered in px whilst it was on e bay....:):)
Happy fender kicking OG:encouragement:

Offer made .
Broker was very helpful and informative and obviously well versed in handling awkward customers. :)
He has sold a number of boats which ended up down here at RCC.

Did look also at a well used Turbo 36 and a very compact Broom 970.

Engines are from Perkins current range of power units, not the antique old 1960s Moonraker/Broom smokers, most now with starship hours and hens teeth spares availabilty.

As for previous P/X deals, everything from petrol powered outdrive sports boats (Yippee) to caravans/motor homes and also..... the clincher .......can they pay the balance in monthly instalments. !

Boat was finally sold via Classified Ad on Ebay.
Strangely not much interest via local broker, even though he put a lot of work into very attractive advert.
My old boat is now waiting for ferry skipper to take it up to Lincolnshire for the new owners.

Good stuff :) And if you need any incompetent crew to hold bits of string etc, you know where to look!

It does look very nice :) I'm exceptionally jealous of the touchscreen MFD and the genny!

We have put in an offer reflecting the overall condition of the boat. All the interior woodwork and panelling desperately needs attention with the usual contact adhesive failure of the interior linings .
The davits are a interesting ball of corrosion and will need removal,it has obviously been lying around for some considerable time.
Suspect it has been up for sale elsewhere in the UK and was moved to the Thames in an attempt to shift it.

I must admit I'm surprised, it looks very tidy in the pictures. Hopefully the seller will be realistic in expectations then :)

The camera never lies eh !
It is fibbing through its teeth on this one. :)
Have been doing a little Googling and and convinced this boat was listed up North a couple of years ago with broker at York Marina possibly Acastor. It has definately been on a downwards spiral since then.?.
There simply cannot be that many re-engined F36 with "explosion in a paint factory" Tartan interiors in this bit of the universe.
Obviously added 50% to price and bought down to the Thames. :) to move it.
The T36 we also had a look at.It is a 1992 boat but the price does reflect the condition.
Found the inspection hatch in the Shower.
How on earth were you supposed to get at the stern tube without a hole hacked in the floor.!
What were they thinking of.

Re the stern tube access, I think I've sussed it :)
Although all the T36's are obviously very similar, i.e most have the access hatch, some don't. Most also have a single helm seat on the FB and a single saloon window. Mine has the double helm FB seat and the opening window for example and the differences don't seem to be year related.
I have the original invoice for mine when it was bought new. It states the optional extras that the buyer specified; double helm seat, opening saloon window and also, mysteriously, a premium price for "easy maintenance access."
As I've personally had to take to the floor with a large, rusty saw just to make changing the air filters a less than two day operation, I always wondered what that actually covered.
I'm now guessing, it's the hatch under the shower tray :)
Without that, I don't think it's possible to get to it, unless you had a highly trained flounder that might be able to squeeze through from the rudder access hatch!
