So you are asking us to support these barbarian interlopers who came across as uncultivated merceneries and settled mainly in the south and and east of the (Celtic) British Isles... destroying whatever culture was there and having to be dragged out of the dark ages by the noble Celts and the French (Normans) !
QPR beat Albion 3-2 in the FA Cup. Must have been worth watching! More recently other games not played at wembley have had even more goals, for example, erm...
ah well, see, I've been consulting the spiritualists. Which say erm we'll be out by the second stage if not the first. Your brave guys have saved their countrymen a lot of wasted time and money.
PS anyone else think that Seedorf looks a bit like a plumber, somehow?
I remember this game as if it was yesterday ... (not too many others worth remembering) .. Our Jim was lampooned in english press becos he couldn't tackle, supposedly. Kenneth Wolstenholme almost swallowed his mike when Jim disposessed english around half way line then strolled up field and scored ... he and Brand were the best partnership Rangers ever had ...
Correction - it was the Football League Cup Final where QPR beat WBA 3-2 - Rodney Marsh, Roger Morgan and Mark Lazarus got the goals for QPR and I was there!!
Can't remember all the details but there was also a rather long spell where the English couldn't get anywhere near the ball, and I think I remember Slim Jim actually sitting on the ball at one time, waiting for the English to come and try to take it from him.
and they are still on about 1966 on the beeb website

Sorry, realise now should'nt have asked. Gosh 6 -0 (6 -1) thats a lot. Shame too because I think most will agree that football competitions are enhanced by the presence of the bekilted, rosy cheeked Jock, wearing his silly hat and.........
Still just have to try to manage without you all this time.
At our club in deepest and darkest West Wales tonight there will be much soul searching, mumbling and shuffling of feet but I am sure the decision will be to stand up and support E''''land in the morning. I hope you appreciate what this takes. It wil be implied and subdued so don't expect 'C'mon Ingerland!!' or a chorus of 'Swing Low'. Good luck!
Don't need luck We'll stuff em!!!! Mind I'll have to sit at home on me own, can't risk going down the local on me own, It's full of all thoseTaffy types don't like Englanders!!!!!!!! not a good place for a "SAIS"
Just back from the club, early chuck out tonight - steward Mike is in Gran Canaria.
As I thought, we will be supporting the E''''lish but only so that when we beat them in The Six Nations we can say we've turned over the World Champions!
