Not sure if anyone has posted this before, but just over on a late booze run in Calais and they are starting work in the marina this month that shall continue to August 2016.

During this period the number of visitor's berths will be severely reduced. The man in charge, Etienne Canon, suggests that anyone planning to go to Calais during this period should contact him first to see how things are.

I am not sure about posting his contact details here, but I think the marina email is online

They are spending €8 million on the marina, repairing the edges of the dock wall and building a dock for a 35 ton travel lift.
I have just lifted out for the winter and will not be able to go back in until May because of the work where the big crane has to sit for lifting. For me this is good.
Just hope they don't put their fees up to cover the cost.
