Calais marinas

We are sailing from the East coast for a week starting next Friday. We are currently looking at going down to Ramsgate, across to Calais for a night, and than back again before sailing up the East coast for the rest of the week.

None of us on the boat have sailed into Calais and fancy going for the experience.

Has anyone got any tips/advice or hints. I see we have to lock in and out, whare as Dunkerque is 24 hours access.

Calais IMHO is great.

There is a waiting pontoon for the bridge / gate into the marina. Once in, the marina is in the middle of the town so the croisants are still warm when back on board.
