Gudday! My wife and I will be visiting Cabo next week (flying sadly, not sailing) and was looking for some local information. Things to do, must sees, etc. We are not very touristy but we like historical and cultural stuff. Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated. If anyone is living down there, maybe we can meet up for lunch or a beer.

I was there for a week about two years ago, having sailed down from San Diego.

'Fraid to say its just a tourist resort in a desert (like Las Vegas). Glitzy, though only by Mexican standards, its an aberration after the poverty of the outer coast of southern Baja California. There's no culture, little visibile history, nowhere else to go, except for a suburb, San Jose, which does have an old Jesuit mission. The highlight is the new shopping mall near the marina. Pretty, in its way. Great place for lazing on the beach all day. And any water-sport you care to mention. I'd go fishing.

P.S. As before, I had an odd reaction when I attempted to look at your website. A file 'hdxekogkspy.exe' seemed to be downloading itself. Could be me, could be you. Can you check your end? Until then, I'd advise other forumites to steer clear.

Thanks for the feedback on Cabo and MUCH thanks for the feedback on the hdxekogkspy.exe thing? I checked from two different laptops and couldn't replicate the issue. DId a google search on that file, nothing showed up. Asked my old tech team ( I used to run IT teams) and they got nothing either. Was it a pop up or a screen flash?
