I'm trying to find a supply for a 'Coating' that used to be used in such boats as Macwesters etc. many moons ago .... it was like a thick flat white paint .... went on to cover up all nicks and scrapes etc. providing excellent anti-condensation and reasonable look. It was generally applied as a later retro-fit ....

Benefits : Few more mm's headroom after removal of battens and ply panels, near nil condensation, easy application ....

It used to be sold by International Paints but I haven't seen if for years and years, but it probably offended the Trade Description Act because it didn't work anyway! I tried it back then.

I think I would prefer to crouch than have the water drip on my head.

Having surveyed a few boats back a few years ago with it .... haven't seen many with it later ... I quite liked the look - seemed appropriate on some of the older boats I checked out ....

Biggest advantage as I understood was the anti-fungal side of it as well .... as to anti-condensation .... the owners reported favourably - least I don't recall any complaining it didn't work.

Anyway Google brought up International Paints ... so seems it is still avaialble ......
