RACE FOR THE 50 MILE CUP 27th SEPTEMBER 2014 CARDIFF YACHT CLUB

The race will take place in the Bristol Channel and will be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing where appropriate, this Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions.

Cruiser Fleets

There will be a single fleet.

Schedule

One off race Saturday 27th September 2014

Handicaps

Handicaps will be allocated by the race officer, based on Byronsoft figures.

Scoring System The low points scoring system of the RRS Appendix A will apply.

Prizes Overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

1st prize a watch donated by Force 4.

2nd prize £30 Force 4 voucher.

3rd prize £20 Force 4 voucher

There will also be an “Endeavour” prize awarded by the race officer. If 3 enter, only 1st prize will be awarded. If 4 enter, 2nd prize will also be awarded.

Briefing

Cardiff Yacht Club, 1000 hrs Saturday.

Entertainment & Meal

Saturday evening after racing, food will be on sale and there will be music from Coral disco and the CYC house band.

Presentation

Saturday evening.

Catering

The CYC bar will be open Friday evening.

The CYC bar and galley will be open Saturday morning.

Visitors berths

Visitors are welcome to stay free on CYC visitor berths Friday and Saturday nights.
 
It is advertising for sure... in mitigation, I was asked to post this information on behalf of the B.C.Y.A. Further to this I'd like to submit it was intended to promulgate useful information to fellow boaters for a non profit making cause... which I suspect is within the terms and conditions of this forum... or perhaps I have missed something? if I have please advise... Tony

Did you read the thread "Flagrant advertising" which I put up just before yours. It was an attempt at humour which seems to have slightly missed the spot!
Are going to add Barebones the growing list of entries? Don't forget it is a fun race, with no start line fights!
