Thank you for the info. Crocs have the best deck sole I have come across and I
have been buying Sebago's since the mid '70's.

I have just ordered a pair in blue and white!

They look cracking... I buy Crocs purely because of their looks (and because it seems to irritate the t*ts off some people!).... I'm clearly getting curmudgeonly in my old age....

Crocs are great so I expect these will be too. I'd rather spend that amount on these than considerably more on 'posh' boat shoes that will be a lot less comfortable and grippy!

Crocs are great, but why would you want to buy a pair that look like the "I'm a boat captain, look at my impractical shoes and peaked cap" type.

Make sure about size before ordering on line as it costs a fortune to send them back and their sizes are unique !

I like crocs too and have worn them for years as deck shoes, but I seem to remember a test in one of the boaty comics which damned them as lethal on wet decks. I couldn't understand that verdict at the time, and still can't. The aesthetic issue I leave to fashionista saddos to get wound up over.

The ordinary Crocs do slip when the sole is worn.
The best ones on wet surfaces are the Bistro(£34.00) & Professional(£25.00) Crocs sold to the catering trade by Nisbets and others -fewer topside holes and a grippier sole- they last longer than 'civilian' ones and drier & warmer in cold weather too!

I use the traditional ones & think they're great but if you've got narrow feet they can "roll" around your foot a bit cos they're so loose & wide. These boaty ones wouldn't do that. If in warm, sunny climate I'd definitely have a pair...
