C-MAP cartography advice please!

Hi Guys,
Non technophobe here seeking some advice as I'm finding conflicting answers online searching.
This weekend I bought a used chartplotter (Furono) which uses the C- MAP max SD card which also has a micro card within it....
Printed on the SD it is for the southern Med and Agean sea area which is no use to me living in the Canaries....
So my question is....
How do I go about getting the map for my locality?
Can my current card be updated online via purchasing the new cartography or do I need to purchase the new hardware (card) that will provide what I need?

As far as I know, you have to buy a physical new SD card. That's what I have always had to do even just updating.

There is a company in the UK who will re-program your card with the chart of your choice.

My local chandlery said it was not possible to reprogramme my card and helpfully suggested buying a new all singing all dancing new system.
PRS did an exchange card with local area chart for about £85.00.
Very helpful and I had no problems. I did a map area exchange in the Med.
