OK. That's it. I've gone and done it.

My lovely F33 sits on the sales pontoon at RYB Windsor - a victim of her own success. A truly magnificent vessel that never let us down during four years on the Thames - and including several trips to the Solent and just about every port from Cherbourg to Dunkirk. But now SWMBO wants to go bigger - and if the truth be told I wouldn't mind either.

... and the new boat. A Fairline Phantom 40. Only 9 months old and a superb spec. As soon as SWMBO saw her she knew it was for me. (It's called "SUPRENDO") This lady knows the way to a man's heart. We picked the boat up from Chichester yesterday after Peters had added a few items especially for me ( e.g. rope cutters). The run from Chichester to her new home at Ocean Village was rather cold and damp, but I still did the whole trip from the flybridge. No-one was going to get me down below today. She ran like a dream. Oh boy!

So, beware all forumites on the Solent. We have arrived! Always keep beer and wine in the fridge, so if you're around OV or anywhere else in the area, call in and see us. We don't bite. We'll be afloat all winter and visiting the boat on regular weekends.

Well done you two. Hope you really enjoy the new boat. It is damp and chilly this time of the year, but there are usually plenty of warm pubs within a short run from OV, and the heaters available now are excellent, making winter boating great fun.
See you out there sometime!

Fantastic, All the very best with her. I'm sure you will have some great times on her.
Why not post some pics of her for us all to see.

Many happy hrs of boating, and Merry Christmas to you boat.

Cheers

Alistair.

Congratulations. I well remember chopping in my Sealine 305 (forerunner of the F33) for a Fairline Turbo 36 many years ago and being amazed at the difference between sterndrive and shaftdrive. The Phantom 40 is a fine boat and I'm sure you'll be delighted with her

Congrats on your new adventure. Have lots of happy times and may your wallet remain closed - well as much as possible. Thanks for your advice to date on owning a F33 - very useful indeed and heres to the day when you can advise me on an even bigger boat. Bye. Roy

You will not be disappointed with your choice of boat. We very recently changed from a Targa 31 to a Phantom 40 and are loving every minute of it. In fact my wife, all of a sudden ,has become a boating fanatic !!!!. We will look out for you over the coming weeks as we are usually lurking about in the Solent every weekend. In the meantime enjoy !!.

If shes anything like the P46 we were messing about on last month then you will have some real fun on her aswell as comfortable living.

Congrats, I am still boatless and likely to be for a while I think.

Excellent! Bravo - keep in touch. Happy Christmas! Maybe take a pic or two if we meet on the water. Are you thinking of doing any MBM trips next year?
