Buying/liveaboard in Florida USA

Help! Used boat 53/58 feet TDSY
Allowed time in the USA in a year or liveaboard any restrictions/ ways round time, ie; register British?Bahamas? or cruise to Bahamas ie; out of USA?
Any taxes on buying (6% buy tax Florida)/ongoing taxes/charges?
Problems if decide to sail back to EU(Spain/Med) or Gibraltar re; VAT?
Any pointers maybe USA departments/embassy?

Ask local US consulate about time allowed in USA; info seems to vary dep on whom you speak to as far as people we know are concerned. Sales tax in FL may be as high as 7% dep on where you buy. Anual boat tax/registration reqd in FL, but is inexpensive.

aware of 6% Florida tax, clarify if different % inside one state borders
