Buying in Montenegro.

in this period of time november - marsh, it can be very rainy or nasty cold (norther wind)
.
Thats what we found in Croatia. On one day in late October the weather would suddenly change from summer to winter and it would often be as a result of a day or two of Bora wind. There doesn't seem to be an autumn or spring in the Adriatic, just winter and summer. And certainly Croatia would be absolutely dead in winter. The flights from the rest of Europe stop in October and everything seems to shut down.

Similar situation in the Greek Ionian where we are based since 2 years. I found out that its extremely rainy down there in the winter. And the only way to visit the boat off season is to fly to Thessaloniki and drive 3 1/2 hours through mainland Greece. Really annoying.

I am now toying with the idea to move the boat to the new marina of Rhodos (http://ipcamlive.com/rhodesmarina). Flights all year and much more friendly / sunny weather during the winter. And the town remains alive!

Sorry for the thread drift...

last Sunday I've just returned from Tivat, spending a week on the boat,
we had very good weather, 20° ! , but heavy rain started the day when we left, and its still raining I believe.

but you can also have a Sunny day, and eating outside (out of the wind...)
in bad weather the place looks sad, (as everywhere I guess ;-) ) but in sushine, the place is fantastic
FYI we are very pleased with the marina, and like the place and region very much !
pls check Blue Angel on D23 :)

re boat on a company, basically;
you can register commercially but than you need to charter her for every useage,
but you can aswell register non commercial, for own / pleasure use, but then you need to make a arrangement with the taxman, for your private use.

Good news, at long last it stopped raining there yesterday ...... the day we came home, naturally! However, it was great fun viewing boats in the torrential rain with thunder and lightning all around us, surrounded as we were by so many shiny bits of metal and masts etc. Blue Angel seemed totally untroubled, though. Sure is a lot of boat, even for a 70 footer. Friday night was particularly windy, and I can't quite remember if Madpad on his Silver Ormidale on the same pontoon, said it was so rough that he had to lash his mast down or if he said he had to lash himself to his mast!
We still think Kotor is a fantastic place, btw, even in a heavy storm which saw us ankle-deep in flood water on Saturday, along with 2 or 3,000 cruise ship passengers (hope they didn't pay too much).
