I am looking for a 20' fishing boat merry fisher / quicksilver style second hand.
I like the quicksilver 650 weekend layout with the table and seats on the same level as the driving seat as well as swmbo having an albeit compact toilet compartment. I can't find anything else sub £18k with an outboard and this design. A lot of the comments criticise the quicksilver and favour the French boats from jenneau / ocqueteau / beneteau. Are they that much better?
I have found a couple of QS 650 boats that tick the boxes one is 1999, kept out of the water on a trailer, no anti foul, the other 2004 but is kept in the water and has a copper product anti fouling applied. The outboards are both 115 but one is a 2004 mercury four stroke unknown hours, the other a 2009 evinrude two stroke with 50 hours.
Whichever boat I buy I will get it surveyed but want to narrow my choice down before hand.
