Im just going through the same process with exactly the same requirements.
I think you need to set a price, this is harder than it sounds because it's too tempting to go just a little more.
Found this site which is good for comparison of the most popular models.
http://www.ronhalemarine.co.uk/superbasket/category/11/New_Inflatable_Boats_&_RIB's
There are a few to choose from but my basic search has come down to just two.
The Zodiac cadet 220Rib, 31kg, 2.2m but a proper rib
The Zodiac cadet 240 Airlite, 27kg 2.4m with inflatable floor & keel
These both compare pricewise with the lodestar NSA 230 which at 29kg is middle ground but then it maybe well built but it's not a Zodiac.
Bombard make the Max 2 rib which at 2.3m & 30kg is marginaly lighter than the zodiac but Im still with the Zodiac as favorite, the price seems to favour the Zodiac over the Bombard equivalent.
If comparing both the zodiac cadet models its interesting to note the airlite has better performance figures.
The hardest deccision for us is that the zodiac airlight can handle three passengers & offers more room with less weight than the 220rib, but then I do fancy the rib which should be a longerterm purchase.
Could do with pro's & con's etc for either.
Will probably wait untill I get to see them together then decide.
PS, looking through, the larger ribs might be more suitable, same weight on some & packing dimmensions not dissimalar to the smaller models. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
