Buying a boat in France

Hi, I’m considering buying a boat in France , a Guy Couach 75 Fly. If I go ahead I will need to arrange a pre purchase survey. As it would be a private sale, not through an agent, I will need to arrange this myself. Apart from the obvious potential language challenge I would be interested to know of others experience of doing so and how the cost compares to the UK?

Any feedback of experiences of doing so much appreciated. Plus any views on the Guy Couach 75.
