Busy weekend....

Fitting new main and genoa on FC this weekend, measuring up the stackpack for alterations due to full length batten cars.

Then off to Bradwell to assist CPD balance his fine ship on a pin so we can get at the undersides on Sunday.

No chance to fly the gennaker or test the furling gear yet though.

Boat fixing weekend here too, got to finish doing the epoxy coating on the aft deck before the weather turns bad and soaks the ply again
Seem to spend more time working on the boat than playing, but certain jobs have to be done

Going up to the boat to remove sails and personal stuff and get her ready for yet another winter in a boatyard.

Off to Burnham very shortly for a sail round into the Roach to Paglesham and back. At least that is the plan. It could change and we might go to have a look at the end of Foulness instead.

Steak and Oysters

Some of us will be attending a function in Quay Reach on Sunday which involves consuming large quantities of Steak and Oysters and perhaps the odd glass of liquid refreshment. The oysters will be off the rocks so hopefully no-one suffering from typhoid will be discharging black water in the Roach in the next two days.

Fair enough + slightly jealous.
I can get to other half to do lots of things, but going up the mast isn't one of them.

Nice day out on the boat today - getting her ready for winter in the boatyard + plenty of beer & talking boats and bollox.
Good way to spend a birthday.
