Moved the boat on Windermere from Fell Foot to near Chicken Rock yesterday - was a bit quiet;

Was buzzed by a couple of jets training low level and apart from the kids out in Toppers didn't see another boat until I got to the Ferry... Great day out and warm and sunny as well - even managed to do my first single handed moor up on an inner pontoon without hitting anything.

Grand day wasn't it? That's Blakeholme on your right in the second picture and I'm moored on the other side of it. I was working on the boat and saw two boats go by in the afternoon, a McGreggor 26 and a more conventional boat - I guess you were the latter.

Definitely the latter - I was motoring past at all of 2 knots enjoying the sun - was a fantastic day out, back there tomorrow.

I was in the boat that needs a clean... she will be getting a quick scrub tomorrow.

We've been out four or five times so far this year and been very lucky with the weather. Intention is to lift out and do some work sometime over the summer when we've made a full list of jobs to do, and decided which ones we are going to do.
New mooring should be installed in the next couple of weeks so then we will be based in the middle rather than at the end of the Lake which makes it easier to pick up SWMBO from a pontoon (short legs plus achiles tendon problems) and gives us more choice of where to go.
