Headed down to Teddington tonight and really surprised about how many boats moored up at not only Hampton Court, but also Kingston and Teddington and quite a bit of rafting as well. Seemed mostly sea going motor cruisers so I imagine a cruising club or 2, maybe the RCC guys getting ready to head home? Anyway, we managed to get the only remaining spot at Tedders and rafted along our friends and looking forward to heading to West Mersea tomorrow, rain or shine!

Looks like rain then:D have a good trip.

I think Imperial Wharf has also made the tideway much more accessable this year and made planning a trip to London so much easier, they also offer a discount to ATYC member clubs.

Yup, we are booked in for next Tuesday before heading on to Limehouse :)

Lovely 5 hour cruise, a shade under 90 nm, so a pretty good average from Richmond given all the slow bits until just past Cherry Gardens. Saw a massive uber yacht called Aviva coming in, not sure who owns that baby, but what a mighty impressive beastie that is!

We stayed at Imperial Wharf last night on our way to the ATYC Rally. got a bit rocky around 01:00 to 01:30 hrs as the tide came in.

Due to a problem with our water system we found we had bilges full of water ( and an empty water tank). the bilge pump did not like this and blew it's fuse.

The Harbourmaster was an absolute star and loaned us his wet vac so that we could empty the bilges and dry out.

There is a little Tescos a very short walk away and a rail and Underground station close by.

All in all highly recommended.

Bradtarga,

was the Aviva you saw this one...

Sailed by Dee Caffari, record winning 1st woman to singlehand non-stop around the world both ways

Or sadly more likely this monstrosity...

That was the beastie we saw in the Pool of London as we came up to the ATYC rally.

Some poor soul was on one of the upper tiers swabbing the deck.
