Re: Bush\'s new Axis of Evil - the Kilcreggan to Gourock ferry
When I had my test sail of Kirstiona last year in the Gareloch the skipper evidently annoyed the rib with the (one) big ugly guy in it. We were tight on starboard tack, he comes up very close on our port side and starts to harangue ME about did I not know there was an exclusion zone?
I says, in best mock Irish accent,
Sure, no surr, and how far is da exlusion zone, surr? We was hopin to ge a better look at da big grey seals over dere. At which point the skipper pinched too tightly (accidently)and she shot about causing the rib a bit of bother to avoid ramming us.
He left shouting for us to "Feck off". A delicious moment. John says I'm a nutter, I says he is.
Re: Bush\'s new Axis of Evil - the Kilcreggan to Gourock ferry
I don't think that anyone is suggesting that such exercises should not take place. It was clearly stated on the news that they had been informed of the regular traffic they should expect to meet and none of the other vessels responded in the same manner as the U.S. vessel.
I actually approached one of the Greek ships on our way from our mooring to take the boat out later that morning and no-one batted an eyelid, even though we were clearly less than 1000 metres away.
