Burnt Isle madness.

Sad but true. How about blasting them with a loud hailer, "Cut the wash you w******".

Mind you they probably won't hear you over the noise of the stereo which is up full to cover the noise of the engines going at full chat. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I will check out our members list but I would be surprised if it's one of ours. If it is I will post the fact here and inform them and educate them to be responsible and considerate to others.

Maybe you could find out the name of the bigger boat too.
It is now my opinion after some consideration to the incident, that they deliberatly set out from their resting position just north of the southermost set of channel markers and tucked inside on the east side out of the main channel to deliberatly noise us up as we turned to our sb side to align the boat on a south heading through the channel.
It was so annoying.
BTW if you know who it was, can you ask the young lass who was taking pics of my boat, from the diving platform of Childs Play, for a copy of the pics. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We were on the pontoon at Adrishaig sea lock when two large mobos arrived about 13.45 on Sunday. Don't know whether they went through the canal, they did not pass us while we were walking along it to Lochgilpead. Just thinking the lock keepers may have info.

Appologies for spelling errors, don't have a chart to hand to get correct spelling.

Wish we had been able to meet up with forum members we were around Portavardie and Tarbet having trailed our boat to Largs from Windermere but given the forecast decided to stay in Tarbet as it felt like a better place to be if we were going to be stuck.

Bought the local paper and ended up buying a dog (not without forthought) a patterdale cross border terrier 6wks old. He certainly added some additional challenges but seemed to take to being on a boat OK.
