We bought a burnham boat with new sails made by them. The sails were , and still are, some 12 years on, very good, partially due to genny being 150 banked on so didn't get much use until we had it cut down to 130 and fitted curling gear. Believe these were specd quite highly, they were quite expensive in 2003. They continue to give good service with a clean and tidy up of threads annually. We had some lazy jacks done by them that , whilst it worked. Didn't survive well as poor quality thread was used and we had to pay for restiching and adjustments to make them fit properly. Bit strange. I would happily use them for sails but I would get a contract written in blood.

Sorry, written on a phone! Use the words hanked and furling not banked and curling!
Sails were 2003 so 14 years old, that's quite good. Heavyweight cruising type cloth.

Replaced a Genoa sacrificial strip for me, was not the most edifying or economic experience of my short but active life.

I have had excellent service from them. I have a number of their sails on my Squib , A self tacking jib for my Hanse, a lazy bag for my Hanse. They recut the manufacturer supplied main on my Hanse to great effect & did the same to a Hornet sail. I have had numerous repairs done over the years & I often take sails in at the end of the year for service & repair.
I would recommend them every time. They are not in the business of being cheap though. Ian Gray used to be the manager at Cranfields & made several sails for my first Stella many moons ago. He is experienced & very helpful.
