Not having a windvane, a burgee at the masthead would help but I don't belong to a sailing club. What can I use?

and...... only clean suggestions please!

Serious response is to use streamers from the shrouds. I used to use bits of cassette tape on my GP14 shrouds ..

I've always fancied one of those little burgees shaped like an airport runway windsock myself. I'd guess you can find them at all good swindleries.

I use just-slack cable ties held up the shrouds by a well wound blob of self-amalgamating tape and they work fine. Ties are better seen if sprayed with day-glo paint.

If it was a pair of my 19yo daughters, then I would agree, but if it was a pair of SWMBO's then I could dispense with the spinnaker! (but don't tell her I said so !)
