For those of us near the Solent, why don't we, when the Burgees are delivered all meet up and have a boat party. We can raise our burgee's in unison. How about next weekend? BarryD should have his boat by then and make it his maiden voyage. ((He'll have to supply lots of the drink to celebrate) That's if he doesn't fall asleep) ;¬)

Folly Inn would make a good venue.

Re: Re Logistical snag

Depends on what E means about next weekend. And also with the snail mail. I would think it will be Saturday 13 April realisticly before most of you have got them. Only about 22 SAE's so far. 30 flags on order at the moment. (Some want more than one) Holidays have knackered the Friday delivery so it's going to be Tuesday or so next week before they are here. I've arranged that they can be sent off to you as soon as they arrive. Though I'm in Portugul next week. Then course, have to order more next week for the late arrivals. Pauline and crew want about a dozen between them but not seen an SAE yet!!

Whats amazed me about all this is why has'nt Kim and co said anything or had any input. Have they ordered burgees for the magazines boats and will it appear on the forum pages. It all seems fairly pointless if it does'nt

No. No flags for Kim and Co. Not sure he can have one anyway. He's always shouting at me!! Besides, he's not really in the club is he. Just the bar tender or BOUNCER! <G>

14th April?

Wot about the weekend of the 14th April given that we might not have our burgees by next weekend and some of us might be going to Rome to watch a rugby match

EErrrr. No yer not. The flag making man has buggered of to the pub. So no flags till after easter. However I have two here, with slight defects. Only defects really is. I negotiated bigger for same price. So I'll bring them along and we can practice Adorning Ceremony till we get it right. Well thats if Colin has enough beer for all the retakes!!
