Every time I see one of those cruise liners in Parkeston I wish I could remember what the flags used for the bunting mean. Are they are selected willy-nilly, or is there a set sequence for them? And do p*ssed-off-crew plant their own messages in amongst them? Any ex-bunting tossers out there let me know?

You'll come across all sorts of theories and "correct" ways of doing it, but as long as they don't spell out a message or a word, you'll be fine.

We were 'dressed all over' to use the traditional term for it, in Vannes on 14th July. The correct order as shown by shmoo is included in the first section of Reed's Almanac.

(PS Thanks to Becky for the flags - they are safely stowed away ready for when we next meet!)
