Bulkhead pictures

Not a great fan of bulhead pics but as the boat came with a twee seaside souvenir and the mounting holes to match I went with this.

Having lugged a pair of twee seaside souvenir type pictures (that I never liked) thousands of miles over eight years, they finally fell of the bulkhead and cracked so I've brought them home to the study, where our shared history makes me smile.

So that leaves a space. If I want to look at the sea, or another boat, or a beach, I'll look out the hatch, so nothing like that.

What's anybody else got?

A tele!

On our last boat I attached a couple of very light frames with Velcro pads but on our current one I haven't been able to think of a neat solution that didn't involve lugs sticking out from frames. I must try harder. I have loads of drawings that I have done with my life drawing group but my wife has vetoed them for some reason that I don't understand.

Some friends just have photos of the family stuck on with BluTak all over the bulkhead and it looks awful.

Try "3M command picture hanging strips".

I would avoid keeping original drawings on the boat due to problems with foxing.

I bandsawed out a couple of sperm whale shapes, blowtorched, wire brushed, toshed on white paint and then sanded surface; it's all connected by theme to name of boat, etched brass plate on washboard, burger, t shirts, mugs. Oh dear, hadn't realised it had got that extensive.
Also on bulkhead is photo of my two boys, a painting of the Mekon, postcard of an orangutan skeleton and assorted other stuff Which is mostly to do with running gags with aforementioned sons. Oh yes, and pic of Vincent Price and Peter Lorre

Nice :D
Love this memories are great

None at the momen, rather boring.
My daughter is an art student. A spot for one of hers if she offers.
Other wise I stick with our twee nautical themed cups and plates.
And a nice set of restaurant quality placemats of featuring charts of our local area.
I find them quite handy for navigating in the rain:)

We have a very nice drawing that was made by the previous owner’s sister. He left it there on the understanding that we return it to him if we decide to take it down. A kind gesture by a gentleman we only knew from the negotiation on the boat but who has become a friend.
