Hi all,
Need a couple of the very small orange colour bulbs as a couple have blown on a few of my dials.......
Suspect genuine will be silly money as usual!
Any pointers as to where I should look and what size I should get (very hard to make out the printing on the bulb).
Thanks
Rob

got mine from ultraleds.co.uk

Sorry I can't remember what the type/number is of them. The orange is just a little filter/sock that sits over them. I replaced my ones (on the last boat) with blue LED's - OK it looked a little chavvy but I loved it /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif (Doesn't say a lot about me I know)

Easily obtained anyhow so don't worry - won't need to go to Volvo for them - Someone will be along shortly to tell you what exact ones you need i'm sure

Hi alt,
Not got a filter sock affair, these are orange coloured glass or tinted at least, very small (no pic soz) just glass with the wire contacts folded back.
From 1991 if that helps anyone.
Cheers

Just received my free delivery parts list from keyparts and on it they quote:
12V/1.2W Red Capless Bulb for Late Type Panels - £2.53
May be worth giving them a call?

You'll find them at any car supply shop. I think they are the same as most car instrument backlights. I replaced mine with a red LED variant, expensive? -Yes but figured they will last a lot longer then the red tinted (that get burned and turn orange in just a few years) originals.

Hi
No problem with these lamps, on my boat they are standard 12v/1.2watt capless, just go to any decent car supplier and buy them in a box of 10, you will even have a choice of colours, don't worry the price is about the same as buying a nice labelled pack of 2 lamps from say Halfords, that way you will always have spares, and of course if you have spares you won't need them!!
If of course you have the other type of lamp then you need to ask for 12v 2 watt bayonet type, if in doubt take one from your boat with you.
Hope this is of some help.
