I've got a Bukh 36 and today completed an engine service which went well apart from the removal of the engine anode bolts. The manual says there are two to be replaced but I've got 3 identical 24mm bolt heads just beneath the exhaust manifold. Are there 3 internal anodes on the 36? I can get at the centre one but it won't shift...god knows how the others are got at! Does anyone have any tips for getting the b*******s out. Ive got a feeling it's going to be a big hammer job.

Hex socket (not bi-hex) and BF&I. See note below - there are only TWO anodes fitted.

I have the Bukh 24 and also had difficulties with the anode until I came a cross a 'long' socket sitting in my friend's toolbox. We did a swap and were both happy.

Just a thought. You mention the bolt being 24mm. Could someone might confirm that is the size (until I get down to the boat again) as I thought I'd used a 22 mm socket?

Probably my duff memory though!!
