Ours has stopped working. The ship's physicist determined that the sender was 'open circuit' even at the highest resistance setting on the multimeter. A new sender was sourced and fitted, the new one does show a convincing resistance value which does vary with temperature, but the gauge is still not responding. Anyone dealt with this before? Is there a solution?

Correct sender for the gauge ?

Power supply to gauge OK?

Wiring OK ?

Sender earthed OK?

Measurable and "convincing" voltage at sender?

The ship's physicist

Proves what they say. If it moves it's biology, if it smells it's chemistry but if it does not work it's physics!
