Bukh DV20 fuel pump

I have two fuel pumps from different DV20's ie: one engine is slightly more modern than the other both are Sofabex made in France, however one has an additional piece of steel welded to the lifting arm and has a metal gasket in addition to the standard gasket, this pump came off an engine that has a larger opening in the block can these pumps be interchanged using the existing gaskets etc as both pumps have the same base profile?

I suspect the one with the steel gasget is in fact a shim to adjust the amount of fuel pumped. The good news is that I doubt you can do any damage provided the profiles of both pumps are the same on the inside section of the pumps cam arm.

You could give them a call and confirm this.

To clarify things, you are talking about the fuel lift pump, not the injector pump, aren't you?
That being the case the lift pump you want is Sofabex model 8410

From engine number 92000 to 99100 the lift pump was AC-Delco type 797125
From engine number 99101 the DV 20 was fitted with an S.E.V. Marchal type 70BA.
These two pumps are NOT interchangable.

Sofabex do a replacement lift pump for the DV20 Sofabex model 8410 which is a replacement for the S.E.V Marchal type.

Injection pumps are either Bosch (up to Eng # 93881) or Bryce (Eng # 39882 onwards)

From engine number 92000 to 99100 the lift pump was AC-Delco type 797125
From engine number 99101 the DV 20 was fitted with an S.E.V. Marchal type 70BA.
These two pumps are NOT interchangable.

I've got different pumps on two engines. Which pump is which? Could you please have a look at the pictures?

Pump #1 is the S.E.V. Marchal type (70BA?).
Pump #2 is the AC-Delco type (797125?).

Two important measurements. The gasket face and stud locations.... The distance from the gasket face to the cam face bearing surface.

I am not sure why they have added a spacer to the follower and the gasket face unless the gasket spacer is also and adaptor.

do you know if the injection pumps are interchangeable? A bryce pump is installed but I've got a bosch one for spare part.
