It started innocently enough with a change of filters and stopped shortly thereafter. I now find myself requiring information on the SEV Marchal 70/b pump and if any forumite could point me the way of an exploded diagram, I would be very grateful.
Also, is there such a thing as a service kit available for this or is there a cheaper equivalent replacement pump?

Try

http://earlhill.de/files/Bukh_DV10_DV20_Spare_Parts_List.pdf instead but still not a lot of detail.

On my DV20 my lift pump was more like as in the DV24 exploded parts view at:

editted: ( new address below)

If you have changed the engine fuel filter as well, it takes ages priming with the lift pump and it feels like it is only working for a very small amount of its full stroke as it just compressing air. I took about 10 minutes priming last time. ( should have pre-filled the filter as normal but forgot).

Hope this helps

TW Marine

These guys:

They will sell you a 'Lift-Pump' a lot cheaper than the original Buck replacement .... & all you need to do is slightly adjust/bend the/your connections to fit with a ring spanner ..... really easy ... it's what I did & I've never had a problem.

They supply parts to everyone! ..... especially the canal-boat brigade .... & have a good service record with a well established business...... (Y)

Thanks. I ordered a replacement from them this morning and they were helpful enough to inform me of the modification required to the outlet pipe. Price was attractive also.
As the SEV Marchal pump is no longer available, the replacement is the Sofabex 8410 which I think is mentioned in an older thread

+1 for TW Marine, in fact they were so helpful that next time I will sit down with a cup of coffee so keen were they to talk me through my gearbox issues.

Having phoned at 10:30 am, they must have posted immediately because the new pump arrived today in my morning post. Now I don't exactly live round the corner so it really is first class service from TW Marine and (of course) the Post Office which is so important to us in the more far fling parts.
