Had Karouise blasted to get off the several layers of antifouling.

Hull is from about 1968, apart from a small section on bottom of rudder where it must have hit something all looks in good condition. No signs of blisters / pitting anywhere and found out she was epoxy coated at some time in her life. :D

That should be reassuring to many owners of Cutlasses and the like. The Cutlass is inherently strong anyway, with its traditional keel design.

Cutlasses are also no slouches, either. Terry Swann began his racing successes offshore with his Cutlass in EAORA, & futher success with subsequent boats (notably his Hustler SJ32).

'Karouise' also won her class in Burnham Week in the 80's when owned by Adrian Fluker. Ian Hart's Cutlass 'Ace Of Hearts' was 2nd. Ian has been a very successful racer, both offshore and in Burnham points series racing, with his next 4 (or 5?) boats. We came 3rd :o
