Can anyone recommend an examiner who operates near Bray. I need to get my boat done (Sealine S23), within the next month or so.

I will dig out the paper work from the last time, but that person was to be honest a bit off a dithering idiot, and although the boat passed, it was a painful long process.

Cheers in advance

We had a painfull long process this summer. Poor communication skills, poor explanation of requirements and poor attitude. And he was recommended...

If that's Glenn with the Carver, he is a good chap. You could also try Ben Greene, dock master at Penton Hook. He's also a BSS examiner and did my last one. I used Glenn the time before that and he's good too.

If the boat already has a BSS certificate and nothing has changed and there are sufficient suitable and adequate fire extinguishers on board and a fire blanket........ the boat should pass easily.
I used to own a S23. It required no physical modifications to the boat to achieve a pass.

thanks for all the help. Just had the boat safety test done by Glenn Sawyer, very painless process, great guy.
Boat passed fine and he also gave some great advice and tips on stuff that I wouldn't of noticed or thought about.

would recommend him to anyone else who is due a test.

Fifty Shades has just passed with flying colours, thank you Roy at Bisham Abbey!

A highly pleasant and educational experience, possibly swayed by a nice cup of coffee, and the fact Roy gave me a little time to service my Cooker burners!

Can't recommend more highly... :encouragement:

Following recommendations on here, I booked Glenn to carry out the BSS test on my boat, which he did last week. He seemed thorough but also realistic and fair when examining the boat. In addition, he gave some useful advise on items that passed the test but would be worth looking at.

I'll use him again and would be happy to recommend him to others.
