Bruising, mainly of women. I was sitting in a friends.....
(Keith and Yvonne to be exact), cockpit a few days ago, and I observed several cuts and bruises on Yvonne's arms and legs, which very much mrrored the cuts and bruises on my own limbs. A quick check of the males present, (Richard and Keith) revealed no damage at all.
So I was wondering if you guys remain so injury-free because you make the female members of your crew do all the jumping about?
Which doesn't match our situation, because both Yvonne and I usually drive the boat into and out of berth/moorings. So it must be that women are much more delicate than men if they show injuries so easliy.
Or, maybe we are so much more athletic than you men that we do a lot more dashing about?
Please discuss.
I think it is that guys show their age more obviously than their better halves who have to do most of the work. You know, warps out, fenders tied in place, leaping onto pontoons, that sort of thing. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
