Brrrrrrrr .........

For the first time in 20 years I won't be glued to the weather forecast every evening, buying large quantities of salt every week, and skating down semi frozen pontoons at silly-o'clock in the morning. In fact, for the first time in all those years, I don't really give a monkey's what the winter throws at us, and safe in the knowledge the boats ashore, fully winterised, and being well looked after. It's a very cosy feeling.

Mines still afloat, and will be all year :). Popping down to replace the port engine after cooler bypass valve seals (leaky leaky) and might go for a cheeky 'test' run over the weekend..

I like using the thames at this time of year, there is no season as far as my use of it goes. Hardly any wash from passing boats and no problem mooring. The boat also makes an excellent base for Christmas shopping, saving hours that would have been spent queuing at car parks in Kingston. I love my boat, sod waiting until spring to use it again.
