Has anyone found out if it is possible to remove the brown stains on white melamine (stains formed by tea/coffee)?

"Flash with bleach" spray removes them as will some dilute bleach.
Also "Cif original cream" will remove them if you want to avoid bleach.

If thestains are absorbed on to any limescale film it can be removed with Cillit Bang Limescale and Grime, but do not mix it with bleach

The traditional cleaner for stains on melamine ware was denture cleaner, but I have not tried it myself.
Steradent contains pentapotassium bis(peroxymonosulphate) bis(sulphate) so hydrogen peroxide or any oxygen bleach will probably also do the trick
