Hi all
I am servicing my engine (a bukh 10 - 1981 vintage) and I have found brown gunge in the primary and secondary filters. I have also found it in the lifting pump (which I am replacing - the gauss filter has disappeared). I cannot drain my tank easily, but I could remove it in 3 or 4 hours. Would you be tempted to do so? The gunge does not smell sulphurous so it probably isnt the bug - but I am not sure? I have no idea when the fuel system was last looked at.
Also if dirt has for as far as the lift pump - where else should I look?
You can spot who is off the water at the moment - the questions keep coming!
Thanks
