Broom speedboat (ply c.1960)

Anyone know about these boats?
I purchased one recently in good nick and am hoping to keep it that way (but want to enjoy it too!).

There was a poster with the handle broombroomput (I think!) who had one of these. It might be worth a pm to him, although he hasn't posted recently.

There's also Broom themselves, of course.

it seems the previous Broom interested parties are no longer on the database/forum (swept off to other things, no doubt).
