Yes it was from Germany some years back .

Cheers Paul.
Engines are 165HP 40B.Presume boxes are MS3C.
Apparently the engines needed a bit of fettling after failure to rev and clouds of black smoke during the "sea trial" on the lake adjacent to PH.
Achieved 18 knots afterwards.
Think Boatones latest Broom 36 Coupe was also re-imported back from Germany.
All the placarding was in German.

Lots of 10/70’s for sale at the moment. 3 on Apolloduck and PH/TBS had two but both are sold now. There was also one on Apolloduck advertised as a houseboat and another on eBay.
I had planned on viewing a few of them but they seemed expensive and some were poorly equipped. They seem to make pretty big money for their size.
I found a nicer better equipped Crown for a lot less.

I know the boat Fred. That broom 10/70 Valentine was on the river severn prior to being part ex'd for a dutch steel type cruiser i believe, so that is how she has ended up on the thames. The previous owner was is a very experienced boater, used her quite a bit and kept her looking good i thought. The engines weren't too smokey and well suited for river and coastal crusing. The owner prior to him again kept her in good condition, but i dont remember seeing the boat used that much. I know when he sold her back then, it took a long time to sell, and if i remember rightly she was advertised for about £54k which was a bargain for one of those brooms about 5 years ago.
Ive seen her advertised with TBS and like you say she's been on their brokerage for a long time. Not sure why as the price seemed correct to the market value. Hope your friend has good times / enjoys their new boat.
