brookes and gatehouse- error 17

Hi all,
Just collected our new (for us) Bene Oceanis 36cc and taking her to her winter quarters in Gruissan, France.

Problem is I cannot get the electronics (Brookes and Gatehouse Network system) to fire up as, every time I hit the power button " ERROR 17" flashes on the auto pilot, wind, and tri display units, along with a faint alarm siren.

Any ideas anyone before I have to take out a second mortgage and visit a B and G service centre?

Go round all the wiring and check connections,corrosion, continuity etc

On my 381 when I first got it, the BG wiring was a rats nest, I took the connections apart, vaselined them and then put them back together in the right sequence. Its on that website somewhere. all those errors went away.
