Do I assume that you are looking for a wire wool with which to rub down bronze ??
I use a type of asbrasive tape, 1"/25mm wide, to abrade copper tubing prior to brazing for refrigerant usage. The tape composition alludes me at the moment but it is designed to not leave corrosive type particles on the copper. If this might be of interest then I will dig deeper for more info if wanted.
Sorry no to be clear I want wire wool made of bronze rather than steel. There is an american supplier but I can't find on easily in the uk. Anyone know of one?
I used to buy copper (never came across bronze) cleaning mesh in industrial quantities from Knitmesh. Copper scouring pads are readily available from cleaning material suppliers.
Rubbing wax into some interior woodwork after varnishing. Gets a great matt finish even for people who aren't that skilled with the varnish brush like me. However I don't like using steel wool on the boat since its difficult to clear up all the bits & the ones you miss rust & can cause discolouration-hence bronze (or copper) wool.
Use the synthetic pads as per Gandy Goose post - it looks like a pan scouring pad. I was a cabinet maker and that is what we used. Different grades depending on the abrasion you want
