Well folks, after accepting an offer on Lady Louise some weeks back, today was the sea trial. And well it went, says my broker. I'm glad he said I needn't be there as I'd have been crippled with fear that something would break or our customers wouldn't like what they saw. Apparently they were dead keen and they'd already forked out over a grand for a cockpit canvas prior to the trial!

Now comes those sweaty few days while I wait for the sale proceeds to arrive safely in my account. Needs sorting soon as they've got a skipper booked for Monday to sail her away over the horizon - Amsterdam apparently. Hope her new owners enjoy her.

Now the boat is sold ....

.. the entire country will now be bathed in warm sunshine and caressed with light breezes until at least Xmas plus the price of fuel will drop dramatically :)

Looking for something new or is that.... it ?

Something new? Nah, probs be 2nd hand this time. Looking for something a bit bigger, and that puts me in £200k+ territory if it were to be all new and shiny.

I know one thing for sure, when it's time to go shopping I'm getting swimbo in on the ground floor this time. A tip for any would-be boaty guys, get your other half fully involved in the purchasing decision - it'll pay dividends.
