Yup - I’ve got a mate who’s been quoted 22k US to ship his 45’ catamaran to Gib, from Miami - almost cheaper for him to ship it than three weeks of fuel, skipper and crew - surprising good value.

Yup, it would be out of place anywhere north of South Florida, we passed a few SS boats - half on the plane - they just look out of place - not sure if you’ve ever seen this site - a lot of loopers buy and sell through them - plenty of interesting projects - some at sensible prices....

http://www.curtisstokes.net/trawler-for-sale-great-harbour-47-seven-tenths.html come on Jimmy, you know you want to!

Blimey P, you must be joking!?
I mean, as much as FL Targas aren't my cup of tea, they are undeniably beautiful things.
Reading such suggestion from the owner of one of them to another is as surrealistic as a pillow is soft...
...If I may quote a statement which inspired an old rock album!
Mind, I know all the good reasons why that thingie can be fit for purpose, in the ICW and Great Loop context.
But who wants to do that with a boat you can't even look at for more than a second? :disgust:

Its not a looker! but Pete is probably just trying to create an incentivised seller out of Jimmy so that his syndicate can make a move on the Targa....
;)

the only thing I'm going to say about this great harbour trawler is that some sociologist colleagues (plus my wife) would have a field day analysing this thread...
relax, it's the perfect boat for a visually impaired owner (hope s/he has someone else helming though as she's not made out of 2inch plate steel...) small size large volume, what not to like (if you cannot actually see the thing?)
